 About "Ms. Jen"


After earning two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Southern California, one in Psychology and one in History, Jennifer earned her Masters degree in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. Jennifer taught first grade at The Key School in Annapolis, Maryland, kindergarten at The Open Window School in Bellevue, and kindergarten and first grade at Seattle Country Day School. Prior to opening RVFS, Jennifer developed and taught the founding kindergarten program at an independent school in Dallas, Texas. She holds an Early Childhood-Grade 8 Washington state credential. Jennifer is a native of Snoqualmie Valley, and grew up on her family’s small farm in North Bend. Being an alumnus of North Bend Elementary and Mount Si High School, she is in tune with the culture and history of the community. Jennifer and her husband have three children: ages twenty-two, nineteen, and sixteen. Jennifer has a dedication to lifelong learning and has strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. She is an active community member who has served as a Girl Scout leader, cheerleading coach, PTA board member, and Sunday school teacher.
